hi there, I have followed all the necassary steps for the desktop remote.....the app shows my computer....but will not connect.....it keeps timing out. any ideas are very greatful. thanx col

It is either because your computer is behind a firewall or is an office computer. You can try to disable firewall, and enable port forwarding if your pc and iphone are not in the same local network.
