I am trying to connect my iPad 2 with my iMac with Connect my Mac.
I followed all the instructions to the best of my knowledge and experience.
I cannot seem to get the both connected.
" Connection failed, Operation timed out" with reference to the IP address of the Mac I am trying to connect to and the port number.
Firewall in Lion is Off.
Port 5900 is forwarded in the Fritzboz 7170 annex B both TCP as UDP.List of Ports with Port Forwarding Enabled
I manually gave the IP address of the iPad. This changes, so might this be the issue?
Or should I select the computer aka iPad with my name from the list?

To add.
This all was done with the iPad running on 3G.
If I select the iPad van .... from the list it refers to the wife connection and ditto IP address, so that will not work away from the wifi network.

Enabled the PC iMac to port 5900 now. Both TCP and UDP.
Operation still gets timed out.

I used remote desktop from Hana for a windows PC and that functions without any problems.
For some reason I am not able to connect the iPad and the iMac.

To avoid misunderstanding I use " Connect my Mac" for connecting the iPad2 and Mac (OS 10.7.4).

I forwarded port 5900 both on TCP and UDP.

Tested if ports were open. They were not.
Switched of the firewall on my mac but no result.
Also enabled "desktop viewing" if I translate this correct from Dutch to English.

Please advice.
